Java Version.- Rad Upload is a java applet so you need to have the java plug-in installed in your browser. The minimum java version is 5.0 . It's more than likely that you already have it, If you don't have it the browser will try to install it for you (but it will ask you first).
File System Permissions- Obviously files cannot be uploaded to the server if they cannot be accessed. Therefor the applet will ask that you grant the permissions needed. The local copies will not be modified in anyway.
Special Notes- Currently plans are underway to make the applet compatible with older versions of java.
